At the European Music Awards a crazy thing happened. The singer Miley Cyrus lit up a blunt and started smoking it in worldwide television. I dont think that this has ever happened on live tv. What she did was legal because they were in Amsterdam. And in Amsterdam weed is legal. I think that this is crazy because I thought she couldn’t do anything more crazy , but I was wrong.

Delaware mosques and school vandalized

Monday, October 28th, 2013

http://www.myfoxphilly.com/story/23801808/police-investigate-vandalism-at-delaware-mosque

Last week on Friday a mosque in Delaware was vandalized by people we do not know of yet. They broke the fence in pieces and made a cross in the front lawn. The FBI and local police are investigating the incident now. I think that this is so disrespectful because this is a holy place that people vandalized. To treat a religion with such disrespect is not funny or acceptable at all. In conclusion, I just hope that the people get caught and are rightfully punished for their actions. I would ask why would they do such a thing?

Shut down effecting jobs

Monday, October 21st, 2013

As of recently a government has shut down due to politicians not agreeing with each other. This is effecting people and their jobs, even teenagers. For example, my cousin who participates in the Penn medicine program has lost his job because of the government shutdown. I think this is unacceptable because people need to provide for themselves and their family, without jobs they cannot do so. What makes it hard to find an agreement?

Phantom Vibration (hypovibochondria or ring-xiety)

Tuesday, October 1st, 2013

http://www.npr.org/blogs/alltechconsidered/2013/09/30/226820044/phantom-phone-vibrations-so-common-they-ve-changed-our-brains?ft=1&f=1049

This article is about phantom vibrations. A Phantom vibration is when you feel a vibration in your body and you think its your phone, but it’s actually not. In a study 90 percent of people said that they felt phantom vibrations. A doctor said that it is just you brain playing tricks on you with your anxiety. Phantom vibrations is a perfect example of how technology is changing our lives. A good way to get rid of this is to put your phone down for 30 or 60 min a day. In my opinion I think that this is crazy because our phone is changing the way our brain affects our body.

Black Widow Spider Fan

Monday, September 23rd, 2013

This article is about a nature writer who got bit by a black widow, but had a pet one in a jar. One day before he went fishing he got bit by a black widow spider inside of his shoe. even though he knew he was bit he still went fishing, but eventually her started feeling pain in his stomach and his arm. He finally went to the hospital and coincidentally they had an experimental spider venom. In my opinion, I think that the man is crazy because he knew he got bit, bu he still didn’t go to the hospital. The question I have for the author is why didn’t he go to the hospital earlier.

20% Time

http://sneakernews.com/

The topic I chose for 20% time was sneakers. I chose sneakers because thousands of sneakers come out every month all around the world. Different brands of shoes try to release sneakers every month that they think people will like. The two highest praised brands are Jordan and Nike. People love Jordan sneakers so much that they wait in line for hours or even days. Those people call themselves sneaker heads. In my opinion I think that the waiting is worth it because they are only released for that one time and won’t be available until years later or on eBay for triple the price.

For Rich NFL Players, Do Fines Matter?

Monday, September 16th, 2013

I this current event its discusses the 100,00 fine that was given out to Ndamukong Suh after a NFL game. He received a fine because he hit a player after the initial play was over. This is not the first time that Suh has been fined by the NFL.The next time Suh does this the NFL might consider suspending him for a couple of games. Now he is appealing the fine because he thinks that it is too much. In my opinion I think that Suh deserved what he got because he has been doing this throughout his career and he needs to learn a lesson. The question I have is would you suspend Suh the next time he does this?
